Psalm 90, 91, Lev. 1, 2/Mark 5:1-20
Tomorrow’s Readking: Lev 3-5/Mark 5:21-43

Psalm
‘Book IV of Psalms’ covers ch90-106; 90, ‘The prayer of Moses, the man of God’.
I think they’re still at Mt. Sinai - Job mentions ‘1000 years is like a day to God’ where much discussion stem related to the ‘age/creation of the earth’. Here, Moses isn’t saying a day=1000years to God. Moses is in prayer and simply identifying with God’s greatness.

SMV: psalm 91:1-2 – He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress my God, in whom I trust”… believed to be penned by a priest during that time.

Leviticus
Exodus detailed the building of the temple, here Leviticus “relating to the Levites” gives laws/regulations for worship.

The ‘Burnt, Grain, Fellowship’ offerings were all voluntary acts of worship. Hand on head represents atonement. I found it interesting the details of offerings – burnt morning and night, slaughter on north side of alter, ashes/crop on the east side of alter, etc. Fellowship offering, Shalom, representing peace w/God.

Mark
Jesus/12 travel go Gerasenes where he cast out a ‘Legion’ (represents many = 6000) demons into pigs; oddly so, the towns people resent and ask Jesus to leave as in ‘look what he did to our livestock’, as they ran to the lake and drown (symbolizing the abyss).
