Lev 3-5/Mark 5:21-43
Tomorrows’s Reading:
Lev 6-7/Mark 1-29

Leviticus
As the position/ranking w/in the community became less important, the type of offering became less as well. Priests and ‘the whole Israelite community’ sacrificed a bull, community leader and member of community, a goat, some down to a doves /pigeons. Some parallels were 4:12, ‘taken outside the camp’; NIV Notes ”clearly draws the parallel to our sin offerings, Jesus, who suffered outside the city gate.”

Mark
Jesus raises a dead girl – daughter of synagogue ruler, a layman. As the crowds gather, a woman that had been suffering for 12 years with bleeding, touched Jesus’ robe and was healed. ‘God determined to heal her’ thru Jesus, thru her faith – as Jesus was unaware until the ‘power had gone out from Him’.
