Prayer Request

Today is a day that for many, will be the first time all year they'll attend church - we need to pray for those that they're 'eyes and ears' will be wide open... and hearts will be prepared to receive.

For those of you in the Springfield area (my home town), we're having a large event at The Center this a.m., which is a building right across the street from our church were 'special events' are held (basketball games, local concerts, etc.. ). Please be in prayer that this event will be inviting to others that normally don't attend church and this will remove any 'road blocks' that are keeping some away.

Originally from Matt to all that participated:

ALL who participated yesterday did a GREAT JOB!

The words of appreciation and encouragement have flowed freely and incessantly.

I pass them on to you, because YOU ALL served in beautiful way yesterday.

Music went GREAT. Tech Support was GREAT. Thanks to ALL!

We had 700 people participate in our Easter Celebration yesterday!

Praise God! I believe that this is more people than we’ve had on any one

Sunday in the last 10 years.

After staff meeting today the pastoral team went to lunch together at

O’Charley’s. Our waitress, Angela Mussina (not kin to Rick), said that

She, her husband, and 3 children attended yesterday. They had seen

the promotional materials and decided to attend on Easter Sunday at

The Center. They are looking for a church home. We felt it was a divine

appointment and confirmation that all the planning, preparation, service,

and clean-up was well worth the effort. We are praying for this family

and others like them who were reached and are looking for a new church

family.

We are praying for those who believed for the first time yesterday.

10 people marked B on their cards.

We are praying for those who are considering Christ.

4 people marked C on their cards.

On a more somber note: continue to pray for Ron & Sheila Stevens.

They found some infection. The situation is even more serious than

Just having emergency surgery at midnight last Saturday. He will be on

a ventilator for about a week. It is touch and go. Please pray for

Sheila. She’s exhausted and at the breaking point. Please pray for one

another as we reach out and try to help in these difficult days for the Stevens.

Ron has extremely restricted visitation, and Sheila will be at home all

day today and through the night tonight.

God bless and SUSTAIN all of you (and us).

To God Be the Glory,

Your Brother for Eternity,

Matt
