Gen 39:19

So do you thing Potiphar was angry at Joseph or his wife? Potiphar could have had Joseph executed. Instead he had Joseph placed "where the king's prisoners were confined". Sounds like that may be a little better than being confined with the regular prisoners. I'm thinking Potiphar felt forced to do something with Joseph and is angry with Mrs. P. for messin up such a good thing. He didn't have to worry about anything other than what he ate when Joseph was around. Now he had to go back to work running the household.

Dreams: Notice how Joseph always says that God was the one that interpreted the dreams. Do we take credit for things God does in our lives?

Genesis
Setting: Joseph captured and sold to Egyptians. Currently in Egypt where Joseph is in the rule of Potiphar, Pharaoh’s officer… the captain of the guards. It is said several times that God is with Joseph. He too is blessed as his father Jacob was, his father Isaac, and his father Abraham all were. NIV notes stated that Joseph was a true representative of Israel.

As Kevin mentioned, Joseph is ‘framed’ by Potiphar’s wife because she had the hots for him – he was all ‘handsome’ and ‘all jacked up’ (built, much like me). She took Josephs cloak as he was trying to get away – she used that to claim he tried to handle her. For this, he was sent to prision.

Joseph was blessed even while in prison – the warden placed him in charge of all the prisoners. Pharaoh’s cupbearer and baker were thrown into prison under Joseph’s watch – they had dreams in which Joseph interprets. Cupbearer’s dream interpreted as he’d be restored to his position in 3days, baker’s dream interpreted as in three days Pharaoh would put him to death by hanging. For interpreting their Dreams, all Joseph asked in return for for them to ‘remember him’ to Potipher when he was right and,… they didn’t

Matthew 21:23-46
V23-27; ‘Heaven’ was Jewish tradition to use this instead of ‘God’ – Jesus’s authority came from God. Any body want to take vv28-46? Tenants were the Jews, Servants were the OT prophets, and the Son represented Christ.
