Tomorrows reading: Job 20-21/Matt 11
Job
Job continues to speak from yesterdays reading – his outlook not getting any better at all although, there is a ‘high point’ for Job in chapter 19 of his concerning his understanding/relationship with God.
Matthew
We will be hated by ‘all men’ (and a target of Satin too, but not mentioned here) for faith/following Christ – Jesus speaks to this and his protection. In today’s reading as well, there are warnings of end times.

'Buddy check' request; if you're reading OR just just dropping in from time to time (either way is great), please drop a note here or send me an email (scott.baker@boltedup.com) . Part of the 'buddy system' is knowing someone is going to check in with you from time to time to a) make sure all is ok b) could have questions on reading, c) to ask for prayer requests, etc...
This group has grown past our original goal (as is seems) and I just wanted to help 'admin' that - I have lost track/count. Thanks in advance.. csb

Job continues to outline his loss; he as lost everything; all his ossessions, his family (less his wife) and today speaks about the loss of his friends too. He mentions his appearance is ‘revolting’, the town turns from him, the kids mocking him. Think of one of our/your city’s wealthy leaders that is a good ol’ boy to the community and if their live were Job’s. Better yet, I suppose, lets put ourselves in that position and identify with his suffering/isolation both physical and mental.
Bildad continues to say that wicked people get their rewards in v5 – 'Job’s suffering is justified'. Job responds with ‘just leave a brother alone.. what’s going on is my business'. Please read each thing in Chapter 19 vv7-20 – wow.
But most importantly in Chapter19 vv23-29 and Job’s relationship with God and the ‘walk’ he had (and still has).
Matthew:
Matt 10 vv21-22 – sad but true, Christians are ‘hated’ because of their faith. In biblical times, they were stoned/cut in half/chained/flogged/hung on a cross, today – much of the same literally in foreign countries and to a lesser degree w/in the US. Shout it from the roof-tops v27. Reminds me of a Steal Dragon tune 'Stand up and Shout'.
V32 will be a good one to remember (SMV's to come) – ‘Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will acknowledge before the father. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my father in heaven.
Wow… let that be your meditation today and see where His challenge leads you (share here/to me if you like – would love to know).
Matthew ends up chapter speaking to the ‘swords of good vs. evil’ and how this will happen even within our own house hold.
